About Us

At Developing Futures we offer qualifications in Animal Care and Functional Skills at Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3 and Level 1. (Functional Skills Entry Level 1 to Level 2). Our units are accredited by NOCN (National Open College Network). We also offer units in Substance Misuse, Healthy Eating, History and Work Skills.
Year 11's will also produce CV's and we will assist with application forms and interview skills for Post 16, if this has not been completed by the learners mainstream school.
Each unit we deliver is awarded a number of credits. Credits add up to make an Award, Certificate or Diploma Qualification. Credits can be used by schools in their performance table.

Developing Futures is open from 9am until 4pm Monday to Friday term time only. Our students attend from 10:00am until 2:45pm on a timetable issued by schools or referral agencies. Functional skills is done on a one to one basis for a 1 hour session. These sessions run from 10am until 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
Students have a morning break on site at 11am - 11:15am and an afternoon break at 1:45pm - 2pm with a lunch break in between at 12:15pm - 1pm. Our prices are individually based on each students needs. The prices range from £55 to £65 per student per day for a full day of provision.
Our Functional Skills ranges from £35 to £40 for a one hour slot. We would be happy to discuss prices direct to ensure we are able to have necessary provisions in place.
Once a place and a start date has been decided we will then begin to charge for the student, whether that student attends or not, our contract will have commenced. We will still charge for any days the students may be unwell or absent with authorisation and will also charge for unauthorised absences. Should schools or referral agencies require a place to be terminated the school will continue to be liable for payment until the end of the current half term / term. We will allow the school to fill the available place with a new student. If we feel the need to terminate a students place ourselves there will be no further charge for the student or the place, any outstanding invoice will still be liable however there will be nothing more.
